Strangers

I think it's time to address our distress:

I let you in, showed you my world....it would only be a matter of time before it swirled.
This isn't a rhyme but a mere chime of how I feel inside
two sets of eyes, no longer in disguise
you've seen it all - helped me grow tall
but I'm afraid, this time you just let me fall
to start, to part.... send me a call, perhaps we'll fix it all
You're a stranger, I knew you were danger
This all sounds lame, but I promise it isn't a game
My effort was weak, I know I was bleak
but your soul was shallow and it made my heart callow
Now there's walls, 10 ft tall
our mouths are shut, my God we're in a rut
silence is our friend, time has made it a trend
so now, we descend.
