In Ella's perspective, this autobiographical novel is about the realities of high school, the discovery of love, the discovery of unrequited love, a journey of self-discovery, accepting that life is entirely gilded, falling in and out of dreams, and an exploration of a curious mind, and a callow heart.
"I Spy Ella" really just signifies how Ella comes into the lives of all sorts of different individuals who change her life or how she changes their life. Those individuals will be symbolic of the many chapters of Ella's life. 14, absolutely certain of what the world consists of, but oblivious to love, and naive in spirit - Ella will make you see the world through her eyes, and show you how she's managed to survive the entirety of her teenage years.
I am actually writing this novel in my cute, little dainty journal - this blog is for memory sake, so I make sure to keep details authentic and honest.
