A day in March

"We'll Make It Someday" by Vocal Few

"However, desperate and marginalized, we will be childishly hopeful and blind...."

I remember waking up, searching for my window, wanting to catch a glimpse of the outside world. The tragedies that paint my TV screen, were getting the best of me - I had to make sure my garden was still in tact, and that the sun was still, somehow shining. As if society has a monopoly on how the world works - which baffles me. We're brought here, with 'human' being our only title and somehow, individuals get the preconceived notion that they're entitled to be the almighty and powerful. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, only then will the world know peace." I wish, somehow, people around me could see just how privileged we all are; every single day, the majority of us get the chance to start anew, to open our eyes to the stars, the moon, the flowers.... life, can get entirely messy - and poor earth is left to pick up its broken pieces. My garden doesn't have the brightest of flowers, nor the most requested, and sometimes, they wilt - but often, an abundance of water and a little sunlight can bring even the driest to bloom once again.
