Song Of The Day

"You saw my pain, washed out in the rain
Broken glass, saw the blood run from my veins
But you saw no fault, no cracks in my heart
And you knelt beside my hope torn apart
But the ghosts that we knew will flicker from view
And we'll live a long life
So give me hope in the darkness that I will see the light
Cause oh they gave me such a fright
But I will hold as long as you like
Just promise me we'll be alright"
There's something about this Mumford & Sons track that makes me feel emotionally connected. The neat thing about music is that we, as individuals can interpret the lyrics however we want to. What we feel when listening to a certain song is what causes us to grow emotionally attached. For instance, this one in particular, makes me think about the most important people in my life. I see my family members, my closest friends, my supporters -- anyone who has truly seen me for who I am -- and continues to stand by my side.

Mumford & Sons, in general have that ability to make me feel completely connected, and reassured. I listen to them on a daily basis, and turn to them when I am my most vulnerable.
I recommend both "Sigh No More" and "Babel" - their two released albums.
