2: If you could witness any historical event in person, which one would it be and why?
I would witness the famous V-J DAY kiss that happened between the nurse and solider.... because I'm a hopeless romantic and I would have totally photo-bombed it.
3: What kind of sandwich best describes your personality?
A sandwich with lots of basil, mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and sweet balsamic vinaigrette
NOW I'M HUNGRY
4: If you became dictator of your country, and you can enact one law that could not be repealed once you are forcibly removed from office, what would that law be?
That EVERYONE, and I mean everyone, be accepted as equals... we'd all receive the same benefits, the same recognition, be able to marry whomever we wanted, college would be free to whomever really deserved to attend, women would get the same pay as men do -- basically, people would have a chance to truly be happy and not have any restriction to obtain what they want most in life. I guess it could become chaotic once you bring in the whole criminology of it all; like would murderers get equality as well? I did say everyone.... they'd just be kept behind bars FOREVER.
5: What is your spirit animal?
I'd say I'm a mixture between a golden retriever and a cat. That sounds odd, but I'm loyal, protective, and friendly like a golden -- but independent, sassy, and high maintenance like a cat.
6: If you could change your skin color to anything outside of the natural palette of skin colors, what color would you choose?
I would be a pale pink.... like a blush pink.... I love pink. but then I'd just look sunburned all the time.... idk... maybe like a robin's egg blue?
7: What was the last movie you chose not to watch?
The Conjuring. I'll never ever watch movies like that.
8: What do you miss the most?
Performing on stage. I miss theatre so very much...
9: What is your favorite sequel film?
There are so many terrible sequels .... very scarce will there be a good one. I suppose, my favorite sequel would be Tory Story 2.
10: Rural area, small town, suburb, or big city?
I love small towns; they're so cozy, comforting, and clean.... but I'm a city gal at heart. As crazy as it can be, I'm meant to be around the busy streets. Plus, how would I appreciate the small towns if I lived in one forever?
11: What year of school was best for you?
My junior year of high school for'sure.
12: What is your favorite month, excluding whichever month contains your birthday?
OCTOBER!!!!!!!!! I love Fall, Pumpkin spice, chai lattes, Halloween, and cozy time.
13: What is your favorite type of pie?
I seldom like pie.... but pumpkin pie is good around Thanksgiving.
14: Do you enjoy being single?
It can be lonely at times, but I prefer waiting for someone I truly deserve. I won't settle for any less than I am worth... I have unrealistic views and I'm pretty picky, so I'll probably end up alone.
15: Do you prefer rivers, lakes, or oceans?
They're all so beautiful to look at... but I will never swim in a lake (unless it's clean), very little to I swim in ocean water... but I do pick the ocean over the other two. I romanticize all of life's details -- and the ocean can be so poetic.
16: What was your last date like?
WHAT DATE?!!!!
17: Who are you?
I'm Brisaela: a nineteen year old girl who can't answer this question because she is still trying to put the puzzle pieces together. She has an IDEA, but she is learning new things every single day. Two things are certain, she wants to be an actress, and she enjoys speaking in third person ;)
18: What is your opinion on 80's music?
80'S MUSIC IS POSSIBLY THE GREATEST MUSIC OF ALL TIME. no really.... I'm obsessed with the 80's. "Under Pressure" is an ultimate favorite.
19: What is your favorite boy band?
Mumford & Sons. They're not boys.... more like GENTLEMEN.
20: You are allowed one beverage and one candy for the rest of your life. What would you choose?
I'd choose coffee and snicker bars.
21: What have you done recently to dismantle the patriarchy?
Recently? hmmmm... I feel like I was THAT person to dismantle it during my junior and senior years of high school. I was always inspired to record videos about self-worth and rising above society's mold. I wore what I wanted to wear (even if that meant I got strange looks), I genuinely stepped on what the world thought "ideal" and motivated other girls like myself to do the same. I suppose I sort of lost that moving to Los Angeles -- not because I was under pressure, but because I literally started experiencing life for what it was, and let me just say: it's tough. When a person becomes exposed to the realities of every detail life entails (i.e. moving out on your own), it becomes SO much easier to want to step to the sidelines for a bit and just watch the world do its thing. At least, that's how it was for me. I never wanted to be the girl who felt insecure around other girls who had better features than I did -- but in LA, I am around girls who literally make me feel bad about my appearance (maybe not consciously), but I see them and automatically want to go into extreme dieting or hide away so no one can see how ugly and fat I am. It's scary how one city can do that to a person.... but coming to perspective, seriously, SCREW the patriarchy. We're all beautiful in our own way. I don't need to look like everyone else to be successful.
22: What song did you most recently get tired of due to its overplaying?
Every single song on the radio. Sadly, "Radioactive" by one of my favorite bands Imagine Dragons has become a song I can't listen to.
23: What is your favorite piece of clothing?
I LOVE TULLE SKIRTS. I own one, and I try to incorporate it with everything.
24: What was the most awkward moment of your romantic history?
That I don't have romantic history.
25: What product or service do you find ridiculously overpriced?
I find anything designer RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED. I'm a sucker for Michael Kors, but I will not spend $300 for a pair of riding boots......as much as I love them.
26: Who is your favorite one-hit wonder of the last twenty years?
Patrick Swayze...... love "She's Like the Wind"
27: How many people, outside of your immediate family, do you know the birthdays of by heart?
12
28: What is your favorite vegetable?
carrots
29: Who is your favorite fictional villain?
Klaus from Vampire Diaries
30: What’s the difference between trying and failing and not trying at all?
The perfect question for me at the moment....
Trying means taking a leap of faith and making an effort to tackle what it is you want. You may not be prepared, expert, or even aware but you're saying, "You know what? I don't really care if I end up failing in the end.... at least I won't wonder 'what if''."
As for failing, I personally don't believe in failing. Does it scare the living crap out of me? heck yeah it does... but honestly, truly failing only means you didn't try. Having the courage to go out into the world blind and unprepared to do what you love is so incredibly admirable. Even if you fall, have to go back to some old routines to make the next move more successful - YOU TRIED and that is all that matters.
Not trying at all.... well, that's just being cowardly..... You've gotta try.... you've gotta dare to dream.
