Big Bear

I had the opportunity to get away from my usual routine, and escape to Big Bear with my family and our close neighbor friends. We spent the weekend before Halloween in a beautiful, quaint cabin that overlooked mountains and big Autumn colored trees. This picture above was taken during a walk down the road of the cabin. Big Bear city is so tiny anyway, the lake was at every corner.. I was enamored.
While, the adults had each other, my little sister had her friend, my neighbor's young sons played and explored together, this lovely Labrador (Sadie) and I roamed and enjoyed the beauty that is life. I loved the fact that my cellphone service went in-and-out because I wasn't focused on social media; I was focused on my surroundings. I got to soak in every fresh minute.
In the three days there, I went to a pumpkin patch, went on several hikes, explored the village filled with cute shops, made my very own body spray, went through a "haunted" boat, and shared many laughs during traditional board games with my sister and her friend over a batch of campfire smores. It was a humbling experience: Simplicity at its finest!
I plan on owning my very own cabin here one day. Living in an area that has no Fall, makes Big Bear and cities like such much more appreciated. California has beautiful spots... just gotta go to 'em!
